The Stack / Image
OpenArt
03 CreationA solid pick if you want to run prompts across multiple image models without separate subscriptions — and its character-consistency tooling is genuinely useful for recurring visuals. Between Midjourney (quality bar) and Leonardo (production line), OpenArt earns a seat mainly on model variety per dollar.
The job in the stack
The multi-model image seat: one interface over many image models, with character and style consistency for series work.

The honest read
What works
- +Many frontier image models under one subscription
- +Character consistency workflow is easy enough to actually use
- +Creative-upscale and editing tools built in
What breaks
- −Jack-of-all-models: no single output beats the specialist tools at their best
- −Commercial use starts at Plus ($27) — the cheap Starter tier can't legally carry client or monetized work
- −Tier names and prices move: three of four tiers were renamed and repriced within a month (Essential→Starter, Advanced→Plus, Infinite→Pro). Check the ladder before you renew
- −Style control depth trails Leonardo for production pipelines
Use it for
- →Comparing image models before committing to one subscription
- →Recurring characters across content series
- →Casual-to-medium volume generation on a budget
Skip it if
- ×You know Midjourney's look is what you want — subscribe directly
- ×You're building a heavy production pipeline — Leonardo's tooling is deeper
Questions operators ask
?Why OpenArt instead of Midjourney?
Model variety. If you want to test FLUX against SDXL against others for your use case without three subscriptions, OpenArt is the cheapest honest way to find out.
What changed
- Tier names changed again: Essential→Starter, Advanced→Plus, Infinite→Pro (Wonder unchanged). Prices hold within rounding — Starter $13/mo annual (was $12.60), Plus $27 (was $27.20), Pro $44 (was $43.70), Wonder $175 (was $175.20) — same credit allowances, same list prices and discount percentages. New: an Extra Credits add-on, $15/mo for 5,000 more credits, requires Plus or higher. Verified directly on openart.ai/pricing.
- Advanced repriced $23.20 → $27.20/seat/mo (list $34, 20% off). Essential $12.60, Infinite $43.70, and Wonder $175.20 hold. Two things we had wrong by omission: the catalogue is now 100+ image, video, AND audio models, not image-only, and commercial use rights start at Advanced — the Essential tier can't carry paid work.
- Freshness sweep: real drift found. OpenArt replaced its Starter/Pro tiers with a 4-tier per-seat ladder — Essential $12.60, Advanced $23.20, Infinite $43.70 (most popular), Wonder $175.20 — each with a published credit allowance (4K/12K/24K/106K per month).
- Added to the stack (multi-model image seat). Pricing seeded from January 2026 baseline, pending fresh verification by the update loop.
